Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has a requirement for contractor support
(non-personal services) to provide engineering, acquisition logistics,
and technical analysis support to the Director, Program Support
Directorate. This acquisition is a single award contract that is 100%
small business set-aside. The qualifying Standard Industrial
Classification Code for this acquisition is 8711($20 MIL). Period of
performance is for one (1) base plus four (4) option years beginning
1Q/99. Task orders will be issued on an IDIQ FFP and T&M basis,
supporting both sustaining (recurring) and discrete (non-recurring)
Program Office requirements. The contractor shall provide technical
support for developing and fielding USMC systems employed in both
tactical and non-tactical environments. Key elements shall include but
not be limited to sustaining support for systems engineering;
acquisition logistics; technical documentation; management support
services for test, measurement and diagnostic equipment; calibration
and metrology; and development of DoD 5000 acquisition documentation.
Discrete tasks will be defined by individual program requirements.
Performance requirements will include access to Secret information;
facilities will require a Secret certification and personnel will
require a Secret clearance. Government site workspaces will not be
available, all work will be at the contractor site. A pre-solicitation
conference is tentatively planned for the week of 9 FEB 98 at MCB
Quantico, VA. Clearances will not be required for attendance. Draft
documents will be provided for industry review on our Internet site
prior to the event. Registration information will be restricted to two
(2) participants per firm. A reading room will also be made available
beginning the early part of FEB. Beginning on 2 FEB 98, appointments
may be scheduled in two (2) hour increments by calling (703) 784-5822
ext.243. The reading room will contain program information as well as
the current Program Support Directorate, support service contract,
M67854-94-C-1049. Vendor's wishing to make copies of the reading room
information will be required to provide their own paper. Copying
machines will be provided by the Government. For further information on

accomplish distribution using file download (MS Word and Lotus 1,2,3
format) from the Internet Site. The formal solicitation will be
published electronically, within three (3) weeks of the conclusion of
the pre-solicitation conference. Vendor's wishing to have their company
