1998 DOD LOGISTICS SYMPOSIUM & EXHIBITION: ``ACQUISITION & LOGISTICS PARTNERSHIPS FOR TOTAL LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT'', EVENT #873 NDIA's Logistics Management Committee, in coordination with the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Logistics, DUSD (L), will present the 1998 National Logistics Symposium at the Bay Point Marriott Resort & Conference Center, Panama City, Florida, on March 3 -- 5, 1998. This year's Symposium recognizes the current climate of change and reform within the Acquisition and Logistics communities. The Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Logistics, and the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition Reform, are co-hosting this year's National Symposium to focus on the Department's goal of reducing total ownership costs. The fulfillment of these worthy goals will depend heavily on the mutual undertakings of both the Department of Defense and their industrial partners in the commercial marketplace. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jacques Gansler, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Technology. The objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for the DUSD (L) and the DUSD (AR) to provide insight into the road map for the future of DoD Acquisition Reform and Total Life Cycle Management. A major goal is to relate that vision to on-going and future programs that directly affect government and industry leaders alike.
