U -- REHABILITATION ASSISTANCE SERVICES (RAS) SOL RFP 691-13-98 DUE 031298 POC Helen Rivers, 310 268-4239 Contractor(s) to provide Rehabilitation Assistance Service Case Managers for disabled veterans in vocational rehabilitation training programs to prepare veterans for gainful employment in a specific occupational area. RAS Case Managers will be responsible for providing all case management services to the veteran. The contracted Case Managers will also function as a counselor and mentor for the veteran, reporting on the student's progress and determing and recommending any additional supplies, equipment or services needs to the VA Rehabilitation counselor. The contractor shall be thoroughtly familiar with the Individualized Written Rehabilitation Plan (IWRP). These services will be provided on an as-needed basis in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation. Proposals will be accepted from eligible firms regularly established in the business. Offerors must be physically located in the area where the services are required. The VA may award one, multiple or no contracts in various areas, as it deems in the best interest of the government. Contact(s) will be awarded for one year effective from date of award.
