Construction consists of new 2,369 gross square meters. All utilities
are available in the relative vicinity of the Clinic site. new water
line to be connected to existing 12 inch water main, electricity to be
connected to existing substation, sanitary to be connected to existing
200mm sanitary line, gas to be connected to existing 6 inch line,
telephone to be connected to existing telephone duct banks, cable TV to
be connected to existing cable system and storm water management to be
directed to existing twin culverts and onto existing retention pond.
The project includes landscaping, parking access road, sidewalks, curbs
and gutters, exterior lighting. The building features a sloped standing
seam metal roof with a clerestory, masonry materials (brick and cast
sone) with aluminum framed glass openings. Foundation is spread
footings on structural fill. The floor slab is slab on grade.
Structural steel roof framing. Mechanical plants are internal to the
clinic site. Space cooling (pimary) to be providedby a 15,820 Mjoule
per second (75 ton) capacity air-cooled chiller located at grade
outside of mechanical equipment room. Primary heating to be by two gas
fired hot water boilers. Plumbing to be domestic water supply,
sanitary drainage, natural gas, medical vacuum, dental air and oxygen
supply systems. No special sanitary waste is required. Interior wall
finishes to be acoustical, ceramic tile, drywall, & brick veneer. Floor
finishes to be ceramic tile, sealed concrete, vinyl tile, carpeting and
in-laid rubber entrance mats. Ceiling finishes to be drywall, suspended
drywall and suspended acoustical. Cabinetry to be standard and custom.
Bulletin and chalk boards, projection screen and fire protection
sprinkler system and medical equipment. Est. cost of construction is
between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Completion NLT 570 calendar
days. Issuance o/a 6 February 1998. This solicitation will be issued on
CD-ROM and there will be no charge for the CD. Paper copies of the
