Work includes, but is not limited to: general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, landscaping, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, and necessary removal of existing structures. Cost range: $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. With reference to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. Standard Industrial Classification No. 1542 applies. Pre-bid Conference, with walk-thru, scheduled for 3/3/98, 10:00 a.m., Room 210, Bldg. 5, Leestown Road Division. Written requests for bidding documents must be accompanied by a refundable certified check, cashier's check or money order, in amount of $200.00 for each set of drawings and specifications, made payable to Department of Veterans Affairs.. Company checks or personal checks will not be accepted. Maximum of two (2) sets of plans/specifications will be issued to general (prime) contractors; and one (1) set to subcontractors and suppliers.
