Buebe (Telephone 301-981-2374) ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: 12 February 1998. ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Project AJXF 94-1563 consists of providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work to renovate base gas station, building 1206. The work includes, but is not limited to: Replace existing systems and equipment, doors and windows, (except overhead maintenance bay doors); repair/replace brick work and structural support. Provide new sloped metal roof; replace exterior louvers; provide new canopy for fuel dispensing area; remove and dispose of one steel and two fiberglass underground fuel storage tanks, piping, and equipment, fuel residues, and contaminated soil associated with the tanks. Provide two new fiberglass underground tanks, piping and equipment; provide new double-wall fiberglass piping system for fuel; new fuel dispensers, emergency shutoff for fuel handling and storage systems; provide new pavement, curbs, gutters; new tire inflation equipment; provide new cooling and ventilating systems for existing building. Provide new electrical systems for equipment with electrical panel and separate dedicated panel for electronic equipment associated with fuel handling and storage. Total contract performance period is 120 calendar days. The proposed procurement is being issued as an unrestricted acquisition and is subject to the evaluation criteria contained in DFAR 252.219-7008, Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns Construction Acquisitions Test Program. Award will be made to the offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. For information purposes, the applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1629.
