NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A NEGOTIATED SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT TO THE PACIFIC WHALE FOUNDATION. The NOAA Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary (Sanctuary) is hosting an open house/opening ceremony during period 2/11/98 -- 2/16/98. The Pacific Whale Foundation is a nonprofit organization with mission similar to the Sanctuary's mission. Recognizing that their missions are similar, the Sanctuary and the Pacific Whale Foundation have agreed to co-sponsor the open house and each will pay a portion of the costs of ceremony. This notice posted to satisfy requirements of FAR Part 5. Public solicitation will not be issued since no other source capable of performing work under resultant contract.
