The windows vary in size. The work also includes the replacement of wood framed, fixed glass transoms above the second and third floor window units and repair/replacement of the deteriorated concrete window sills. Exterior asbestos/lead abatement during window removal as identified in the specifications and on drawinings. The estimated construction cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. The estimated completion time is 266 calendar days. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Requests must be in writing. Requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. Pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled for February 26, 1998, at 2:00 p.m., local time. Bid opening is March 17, 1998, at 2:00 p.m., local time. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1751.
