Skirchak, 214-767-8164 SIC 1542 -Project No. RTX948721(NEG), Cafeteria, Sixth Floor Remodel -- The general scope of work is to renovate the existing cafeteria. The project will include selective demolition, including interior walls, doors, and frames; selected electrical demolition, inluding some light fixtures as needed;removing HVAC ductwork, patching and/or replacing some broken vinyl composition floor tile, removing the existing ceiling tile and a portion of the existing grid; and removing part o the existing drainage system. It includes the building of new GWB partitions, relocating a glass store front, relocating existing glass artitions;furnishing and installing new glass partitions, installing a new grid system(kitchen area); installing new ceiling tile, installing new VCT flooring; installing two new drain systems; and connecting new HVAC ductwork as required. EStimated Cost Range: $50,000-$75,000. This project is being procured using informal source selection procedures, which will result in a firm fixed-price award to the offeror which provides the "greatest value" to the Government with technical ability being more important than price. Technical proposals, in the form of a resume of three similar projects, shall be submitted to the address listed below no later than February 17, 1998, which is prior to the issuance of the specifications and drawings. The term "similar projects" shall be defined for evaluation purposes as the following: Construction or installation of Cafeteria type work for multi-story office buildings, Federal Office facilities or a combination thereof, which were at least 50 percent occupied and functioning in their intended purpose during construction of the project. The following factors that will be evaluated are listed in descending order of importance: 1. Past performance of subcontractor on finished total work relating to carpentry, electrical, flooring and wallcovering -- resume to include the following information: For a minimum of three similar recent projects ("recent" defined as within approximately the last six years) (A) Name of subcontractor's project manager (minimum 5 years experience similar to this project, (B) Project Name, location and description (C) scheduled value of the work, (D) Construction start and completion dates, if construction is ongoing state anticipated completion date and (E) Description of actual work performed by the subcontractor. Resume shall state how these projects are similar in scope to this project. Resume shall provide the name, address and current telephone number of the person from each of the following and applicable categories which is most fimiliar with the project referenced above: (1) owners, (2) A/E and (3) Construction Engineer. (2) Past Performance of the Prime Contractor for Cafeteria-type work- Resume to include: (A)Project Name; (B)location; (C) Award amount and (D) type-use of facility and date complete for similar project in scope and dollar range. The resume shall provide the name, address and current telephone number of the person from each of the following and applicable categories which is most familiar with the project reference above: (a) Owner's name and telephone number; (b) A/E firm name and telephone umber (c) Construction Engineers (if any). Evaluation for award will be based on the resume and price. Award of this contract is contingent upon successful negotiations or a reasonable price and best value for the government. However, award may be made without discussions. Solicitation issue date is on or about February 17 1998, with receipt of price proposals due 5 days from the issue date of the solicitation. All interested parties shall submit the above resume as written request and prerequisite for plans and specifications, referencing the above solicitation number to Christy A.
