Additions/Alterations to Airman Leadership School, Phase 1 at Eglin AFB
FL. PRESOLICITATION NOTICE has been issued. This project includes
furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing
all operation in connection with Additions/Alterations to Airman
Leadership School, Phase I, Eglin AFB FL. This is a "Best Value"
Contract. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the
Government in accordance with FAR 15.6. The Government reserves the
right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. In
general, the work consists of Base Bid and Three Options. BASE BID:
Performance period is 120 calendar days. Work consists of the interior
renovation of 3,000 sf of a 6,350 sf office building which includes
environmental remediation, demolition, new metal stud walls, new
finishes such as carpet, suspended acoustical ceiling, paint, doors and
frames, electrical, and mechanical with a new chiller. OPTION 1:
Performance period is 60 calendar days. Work consists of interior
renovation of the exiting restrooms and ancillary spaces so as to
upgrade the size of the restrooms and finishes. The work will involve
demolition, new metal/cmu walls, ceramic tile for walls and floors,
toilet partition, lockers, bench, toilet accessories, plumbing
fixtures, electrical, and mechanical. OPTION 2: Performance period is
45 calendar days. Work consists of the construction/addition of two
offices, approximately 270 sf. The work will involve demolition,
environmental remediation, new concrete foundation, wood stud walls,
preengineered wood trusses, fiberglass shingle roof, Exterior
Insulation and Finish System (EIFS), anodized aluminum windows, doors
and frames, carpet, paint, suspended acoustical ceiling, electrical,
and mechanical. OPTION 3: Performance period is 30 calendar days. Work
consists of exterior site work to include demolition, grading, new
concrete plaza, concrete planters, parking spaces, asphalt drive
way/parking, landscaping, irrigation system, benches, and sod/seeding.
The above general description of work does not in any way limit the
responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all
labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans
and specifications. Proposal opening of 13 Mar 98 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED
DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small
business. Solicitation packages are available at a nonrefundable $20.00
charge. All request must be submitted in writing. Make check/money
