The Naval Air Station Pensacola intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with qualified suppliers for wetsuits. Award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement requires prequalification. Authority and justification is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government has some specifications; however, it is restricted to approved sources as follows: Henderson Aquatic (Millville, NJ), Divers Den (Panama City, FL), Lynnhaven Dive Center (Virginia Beach, VA), Harvey Skin Diving Suits Inc (Kent, WA), Aqua Tech Dive Center (San Diego, CA), Aquatic Wetsuits Inc (Hallandale, FL). The time required for approval of new suppliers is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
