74 -- PRODUCT MAINTENANCE FOR TAMERAN AUTO-PRINTERS FOR USPTO SOL 176P980099 DUE 013098 POC Joan Hanicak, 703-305-8069 This is a sole source, combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, the test program outlined in FAR 13.6 as well as supplemental information provided herein. This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). Tameran, 30340 Solon Industrial Parkway, Solon, OH 44139-4326 is the only known source who can provide the required twelve (12) months of maintenance support for two (2) Tameran auto-printers (SIN 9700673 and 9700673-1) utilized by the Patent and Trademark Office. As the manufacturer of the equipment, Tameran is the only source who can provide the necessary maintenance and assure uninterrupted operation of these machines which are a critical to the daily production at the Patent and Trademark Office. This procurement also includes an item to cover charges for copies over the limits set for the machines. A simplified acquisition will be issued to procure the required maintenance from Tameran which will provide for twelve months of support. This announcement constitutes the RFP and is the only solicitation that will be issued. A sole source proposal is being requested pursuant to this announcement and shall reference number 43PTO8000 . This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-2, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1. A firm fixed price purchase order will be awarded.
