The Assays are used to study the effects of caloric restriction on aging in primates and are needed to assist the NIA in its study "Assessment of Primate Aging: Effects of Caloric Modification" which is being conducted at the Primate Unit of the NIH Animal Center. The assays will assist the project scientists in characterizing the affects of food restriction on various biochemical parameters in Rhesus Monkeys. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 8734, Size Standard is $5.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
