USDA, National FInance Center (NFC) is seeking preventive and remedial maintenance services for the following government owned Eastman Kodak equipment: one (1) Micro image Processor IV; one (1) Imaging System's Manager consisting of console, computer and keyboard; one (1) KOMStar Finisher IV Duplicator; one (1) KOMStar Intelligent Collator; three (3) Kodak 3540 Printer, Model P-30; two (2) OptiStar Datawriter, OptiStar System Console; two (2) Sun Computer; two (2) Kodak Keyboard; two (2) Kodak mouse; two (2) OptiStar Autotouch Finisher; two (2) OptiStar 170 Intelligent Collator; and two (2) Kodak Diagnostic Modem. The following software OptiStar and Image-Link reside on the Sun Computer and Print Report and Parameter Management Executive resides on the mainframe computers. Maintenance is required Monday through Friday -- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A response time of four (4) hours is required for per-call maintenance service. Per call service shall be available seven (7) days a week, 24 hours per day ona best effort basis. The contractor shall provide maintenance (labor and parts) and keep the equipment in good operating condition. The effective period of this contract is from March 1, 1998 or date of an award whichever is later through February 1999 with the option to renew services for an additional four (4) years. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This written solicitation will not be issued. The provisions and clauses applicable to this solicitation are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial and the clause FAR 52.212-4 -- Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision and clause apply to this acquisition. In addition FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items, shall be completed and provided with the proposal. The offeror must be knowledgeable and have a track record of accomplishment in providing technical services. References will be required. Interested parties shall provide their written proposals with line item amount for monthly maintenance service and hourly rate for on-call maintenance outside PPM.
