BROWN, Norfolk, Virginia has a requirement for the upgrade of the Simrad Robertson Dynamic Positioning System manufactured by Kongsberg Simrad, Inc. The equipment installation and checkout will be accomplished during the ship's yard period of February 24, 1998 to May 1, 1998. The location of the shipyard is not known at this time but it will be either on the East or Gulf Coast of the United States. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
