R -- CONSULT ON SPACE AND RENOVATIONS SOL RFQ-80068-NV DUE 021798 POC Debbie Moore, Purchasing Agent, 301/402-4509, Trish Haun, Contracting Officer 301/402-4509 The National Cancer Institute NCI intends to issue a sole source RFQ to Ms. Catherine Sabo to provide expert consultative advice, guidance and implementation of a large scale space reorganization plan for Division of Clinical Sciences (DCS) facilities. Reorganizations as well as program growth, has created a critical need to reorder its use of clinical, laboratory, animal and administrative space. It is necessary for the individual/organization to have a long history of involvement and familiarity with space re-organization, renovations, government administration, facilities and space management at the NIH. This individual/organization shall have experience with government regulations, NIH policies and procedures, cost-projections and a familiarity with the NIH accounting structure. An in depth knowledge of requirements for general laboratories, specialized laboratories, animal facilities (including relocation of primates and rodents), patient care space and administrative which have different environmental, electrical, and safety requirements which are unique to the occupants. Ms. Sabo, a former NIAID employee, has 35 years experience in administrative, space and facilities management, renovations at the NIH. She has in depth knowledge, valuable links and networks all over the NIH which would facilitate resolution to many issues and problems in a highly efficient and cost effective manner.
