The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the collection and disposal of refuge and recycling materials generated at the NIST Campus located at Route I-270 and Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg, MD. The contractor performing this contract shall furnish the labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary for the performance of all operations incidental to the collection and disposal of trash and recycling materials. The contractor shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 48, Part 48-5 of the Montgomery County Code. The contractor shall provide commercial mix recycling of envelops, data processing materials, correspondence materials, mail folder, and miscellaneous recycling materials. The contractor shall also provide commercial mix recycling of aluminum, glass and plastic materials from tote containers. The estimated period of performance is from April 1, 1998 through September 30, 1998 with three option periods to extend services through March 31, 2001. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns with average annual receipts not exceeding $6,000,000 during the preceding three years. See number Note 1. The SIC Code is 4953. The Government anticipates the award of a requirements type contract with firm-fixed price items. All responsible small business concerns may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency.
