The Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate a sole source procurement on or about February 15, 1998 with Mathsoft, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is for the purchase of thirty (30) S-Plus 4.0 Windows Licenses and one (1) S-Plus 4.0 Windows Network License which are statistical analysis software packages developed and distributed solely by Mathsoft. No Request for Quotation is available and this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties who believe that they can provide the required product should submit their qualifications in writing, within 15 days of this notice, to Otelia Newsome, at the above address, for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible.
