A -- RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SOL RFQ-NCI-80069 DUE 021298 POC Cynthia Brown, Purchasing Agent, 301-402-4509, Patricia Haun, Contracting Officer The National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute intends to award a sole source purchase order to The University of Minnesota, under the authority of 41.U.S.C.252(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The University of Minnesota has been under contract to the National Cancer Institute since 1982 to study cancer risk in a cohort of 143,000 xray technologists. A survey of this cohort has been underway since 1995 to identify incident cancer occuring since the first survey (1984-87). A 16-page optical scan mail questionnair was designed to collect updated and more detailed information on employment histories, medical exposures, gynecologic and reproductive histories, and many other cancer risk factors. The purpose of this effort is to provide an incentive to non respondents to return the questionnaire and thus improve the response rate. This is not a request for competitive quotes. However vendors may submit their qualification packages. The submission must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail so that a determination can be made regarding meeting the governments requirements.
