supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request
for quotation number F41612-98-Q0098 is issued as an acquisition for
commercial items. The solicitation documents and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular. This is a 100% Small Business set-aside acquisition with the
Standard Industrial Classification of 7349 with a size standard of $12

$__ __ ____ The contractor shall provide a technical proposal on
providing cleaning services as outlined in this Statement of Need. This
shall include the type of procedure to be used and documentation of
services, including Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for all proposed
cleaning solutions. If the company has brochures describing the
services provided this will be sufficient with MSDS. The contractor
shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supplies, materials and
other items necessary to perform cleaning kitchen exhaust hoods at
Sheppard AFB as requested. The work shall be performed in the best and
most workmanlike manner and in compliance with the contractand
industry standards by qualified, careful, and efficient personnel
skilled in the trade and in compliance with the contract and industry
standards. All cleaning tasks shall be accomplished to meet the above
requirements and attachments. Cleaning procedures shall adhere to the
requirements of the current edition of the National Fire Protection
Association NFPA-96, Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire
Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations, and Occupational Safety
and Health Standards (OSHA) requirements, and other applicable sections
of this statement of need. Contractor shall perform work in strict
accordance with the standards set forth in the National Fire Code and
Sheppard Air Force Instruction 32.2001. The contractor shall not
utilize any chemicals in the performance of this contract that are
toxic, corrosive, flammable, hazardous (as listed in ASHA Hazard
Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200), or having an offensive odor.
Exhaust Duct Hood systems: A continuous passageway for the
transmission of air and vapors that, in addition to the containment
components themselves, might include duct fittings, dampers, phenums,
and/or other items or air handling equipment. Grease and/or vapor
exhaust duct and hood systems shall comprise the exhaust duct systems
proper throughout its entirety including the fan and blower housing,
fan wheel, fan, drip containers, and other appurtenances thereto with
the exception of the electric motor interiors. Some areas shall require

sizes. These are all estimates. There will be a site visit conducted on
3 Feb 98 at 9:30 A.M. local time. All contractors are to notify
administrator at 940/676-7204 no later than the day prior to the site
visit. All contractors are to meet at building 1664 the morning of the
site visit. All Federal Acquisition Regulation are available in full
text upon request. All clauses and provisions referenced to are also
available in full text. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to
Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition . The provisions
at FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items, applies to this
acquisition. (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from
this solicitation to the responsible offeror conforming to the
solicitation which will be most advantageous to the Government, price
and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to
evaluate offers: (i) PRICE (ii) PAST PERFORMANCE Price and past
performance are approximately equal in evaluation. Past performance
must include: Contract number, whether a government or a commercial
contract, dollar amount, point of contact, telephone number, and type
of work performed for all contracts in the preceding 5 years. Offerors
are to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror
Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer.
These are required for award of a government contract. The provisions
