S -- MEDICAL WASTE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL SERVICES SOL RFP 600-018-98 DUE 031698 POC Ronald Ferrer Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, plant and related services to Remove and Dispose Medical Waste generated by three VA facilities -- VAMC Long Beach, VAMC West Los Angeles and VA Southern California System of Clinics. The combined estimated annual requirements for the base year period are: Sharps (63,804 lbs), trace chemotherapy waste (9,507 lbs), biohazardous/infectious waste (455,385 lbs) and pathological waste (4,059 lbs). The contract period is from May 1, 1998 to April 30, 1999, with the Government having the option to extend the contract for four (4) one-year option periods. Full and open competition will be sought.
