Air Force Research Laboratory, Directorate of Contracting, Kirtland
AFB, New Mexico is seeking potential sources to provide GLOBAL
POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) SEMICONDUCTORS. The technical Point of Contact
is Mr. Gregory M. Frye, US ARMY Big Crow Program Office (BCPO), (505)

846-2659. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The US Army BCPO
anticipates the acquisition of commercial items in accordance with the
format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 as
supplemented. The objective of this effort will be the delivery of two
semiconductors in support of the GPS. The items needed are Item 1,
Intel part Number 351-4714-010, National Stock Number 5962-9169702MXA,
quantity 350 each. Item number 2, Intel part number 351-4759-022,
National Stock Number 5962-9069204QXA, 350 each. The items cannot be
prototypes and must meet Mil Standard 883 requirements. Former source
was INTEL Corporation, however, an equal source/product will be
considered. Firms responding must submit technical/functional
documentation (i.e. technical/functional literature, brochures etc.)
for these semiconductors. The technical/functional documentation shall
provide sufficient technical/functional data in order for the project
office to determine whether the product meets the required form, fit,
function requirements. Potential small offerors must be able to
successfully demonstrate the capability to deliver these components in
the required quantities and delivery time of twenty (24) weeks from
date of award. Potential small offerors must be able to transfer the
manufacturers warranty to the Government and provide proof that the
warranty is transferable. Ship to Address: WSMR, STEWS-DT-AC, Bldg
90121, White Sands Missile Range, NM 88022-5158. In addition, firms
responding should indicate if they are a Small Business, a Socially and
Economically Disadvantaged Business, an 8(a) qualified business, or
Woman-owned Business. For the Purposes of being considered a small
business the following applies: SIC Code 3674, Size Standard: 500
Employees. The Government reserves the right to set any subsequent
acquisition aside for Small Business, SBA 8(a) Program, Small
Disadvantaged Business, Historically Black Colleges or Universities
(HBCU) or Minority Institutions (MI) based upon known sources and/or
responses to this synopsis. Firms responding should indicate whether
they fall into any of these categories. Offeror's response should
include which components they may offer, a brief description of their
ability to provide these components, how the offeror intends to acquire
the components, as well as delivery times for each component.
