Z -- HIGH VOLTAGE CONVERSION AT POINT BONITA LIGHTHOUSE AND VTS POINT BONITA, CA SOL DTCG88-98-B-623390 DUE 032698 POC Almer Adams, Contracting Officer or Bid Issue Clerk (510) 535-7242 DTCG-98-B-623390 HIGH VOLTAGE CONVERSION AT POINT BONITA LIGHTHOUSE AND VTS POINT BONITA, CA: Furnish all materials, and equipment necessary to convert an existing 5 KV overhead distribution system, located at U.S. Coast Guard Point Bonita Lighthouse and at Vessel Traffic System (VTS) into a 12 KV distribution system. The work includes but is not limited to the following: (A) Replace existing poles and hardware as needed; (B) Replace all existing pole-mounted 5 KV transformers with 12 KV transformers. Demolish and dispose of two pad-mounted transformers inside existing enclosure; Replace all 5 KV wire lines and associated hardware with 12 KV wire lines and associated hardware; (D) The new 12 KV distribution system must be designed and built in accordance with similar PG&E installations in the adjacent general area and in accordance with PG&E construction standards and General Order No. 95 of the State of California Public Utilities Commission; (E) The successful bidder will coordinate all the installation with PG&E. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The performance period is 45 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The applicable SIC is 1731. Small Business size standard is 7.0 million. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION BEING SOLICITED. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
