PIZARRO, (315) 772-6510 (Site Code DAKF36) Furnish all plant, labor, materials and appliances necessary to perform all operations in connection with upgrading the high temperature water distribution system at Fort Drum, New York, in strict accordance with the statement of work, the specifications and drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Principle features: (1) Installation of approximately 6700 linear feet of new concrete shallow trench and approximately 900 linear feet of above ground high temperature water distribution system. Shallow trench wall and bases shall be constructed of reinforced cast-in-place concrete.Trench covers shall be removable and constructed of reinforced precast concrete sections. (2) Installation of 15 new cast-in-place concrete manholes. (3) Modify 3 existing reinforced concrete manholes. (4) Relocation and reconnection of existing utilities (water, underground electric and communications, gas and storm drainage systems) that interfere with the installation of the new high temperature watersystems. (5) Installation of sump basins, sump pumps and associated controls, alarms, telemetry provisions and electrical. (6) Connections of new systems to existing systems and abandonment of the existing direct buried HTW system that the new system replaces. (7) Installation of storm drains/area inlets and grading along each system. This procurement is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Solicitation is to be issued O/A 5 March 98. This is an unrestricted procurement. Portions of the solicitation package will be issued on CD ROM. That portion of the solicitation includes the Statement of Work, the Specifications and Drawings.
