ebankit@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Armaments
Command-Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center at
Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, has a requirement for the fabrication of the
component hardware for the M86 Projectile Burster and LAP (Load,
Assemble and Pack) of a base quantity of 30,000 M86 Projectile
Bursters. An option quantity is to be included for a range of 20,000 to
70,000 additional M86 Projectile Bursters. Contractor shall inspect,
test, and provide all equipment, facilities, tooling, and materials
(including packaging and palletization material). The Government will
provide GFM (Composition B)for the M86 Projectile Burster. Contractor
shall have the capability to safely and properly store 4,000 lbs of
Composition B explosive(Hazard Class 1.1, Group D, Class A explosive).
Prospective Offerors are required to execute a non-disclosure
statement prior to release of drawings associated with this action.
This proposed acquisition will be issued on or about 13 February, 1998
with submission of proposals to the Government due approximately 30
days later. Hard (paper) copies of the solicitation will not be issued.
