This is a market survey by the Department of the Army to determine the existence of additional sources for maintenance support to the SINCGARS Radio Systems. An urgent requirement now exists for the continuation of these current supporting services, which are being provided to the Government by ITT Aerospace/Communications Division (A/CD), Ft. Wayne, Indiana under Contract DAAB07-95-D-C504. b. The continued maintenance support is required for both production and developmental efforts involving the Advanced Lightweight SINCGARS Improvement Program(ASIP), SINCGARS Improvement Program(SIP), SINCGARS Product Improved(PI),Integrated Communications Security (ICOM),Airborne SIP, Airborne PI and SINCGARS Portable Radio versions. These efforts are in support of equipment developed and produced under contracts DAAB07-78-C-O150, DAAB07-85-C-K561, DAAB07-88-C-T041, DAAB07-91-C-G001,DAAB07-92-C-G004, DAAB07-94-C-C401, DAAB07-96-C-C403, DAAB07-95-C-C503,DAAB07-95-C-C763, DAA07-96-C-C008, DAAB07-96-C-C501 and DAAB07-97-C-C600. C. These maintenance services require the source to provide the necessary materials and facilities to repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, upgrade, analyze as the SINCGARS Radio Systems with little or no Government assistance and data within a specific time frame. The prospective source would require an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the design and capabilities of all SINCGARS Radio Systems. d. The Government does not possess configuration control of the necessary documentation and system level drawings. Therefore, at this time a technical data package does not exist to support this acquisition. e. This notice is not a request for bids or proposals.
