The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 13.602. Award will be made on a sole source basis to Data Systems Research Corp, 114 Elm Spring Drive, Boerne TX 78006, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The order will provide a software automating tool that will be utilized to schedule fighter training and determine resource requirements. The software is an integral part of programmed flying training (PFT) scheduling process. The software allows for the development of an annual student training program to meet Air Staff directed production. It aids in identifying and finding solutions to unit level tasking. The software developer for PFT 2000, Ray Glasscock, is the original developer of current program and is the only known source with the expertise capable of providing replacement program. The contract will be awarded for the period 12 months. Award is anticipated no later than 3 Feb 98. No solicitation document is available.
