Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is seekimg sources for the
inspection, repair and testing of 152 gasoline and diesel generators
varying in size from 12kw to 455kw at Ft. Drum, NY. Generators of
different manufacture were used after recent ice storms in the
Northeast. Contractor shall load each motor after final inspection
aboard truck for transportation. The standard industrial classification
(SIC) code is 3621. Work consists of, but is not limited to, purging of
fuel, maintenance/ repairs in accordance with Technical Orders or
manufacturers' literature. Contractor shall prepare documentation
indicating inspection and testing results, maintenance and repairs
performed. Interested sources should provide a capability statement to
the address below. This statement should include the following: 1)
Name and address of the firm. 2) Size of the business, including annual
revenue for the last three years and the total number of employees. 3)
Ownership, i.e., large/small/small disadvantaged/8(a) or woman owned.
(4) Previous Experience: Please include information for on-going
contracts or contracts completed within the last five years of similar
cost magnitude and complexity for work under SIC Code Number 3621.
Required information on previous experience is as follows: A. Name of
Contracting Activity, B. Contract Number, C. Contract Type
(firm-fixed-price, cost-plus, indefinite quantity, or a combination, D.
Period of Performance and Total Contract Value, E. Summary of Contract
Work, F. Contracting Officers' Name and Current Telephone Number, G.
Contracting Officers' Technical Representative or Primary Point of
Contact (Name and Current Telephone Number). Limit your response to 10
pages total, double spaced, 12 pt Font Size. Statements must be
submitted by 4:00 P.M. on 6 February 1998 to NYD, U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1843, New York, NY 10278-0090,
Attention: Anthony P. DeStefano. Statements may be sent by facsimile
transmission to (212)264-3013. Resulting solicitation will be in
accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Urgent and Compelling circumstances. All
information submitted is at respondent's expense. Respondents will not
be notified of the results of the evaluation. Qualified respondents
will be included on the source list for resulting solicitation. The
government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside
based upon the responses received. All requests for information must be
submitted in writing or by facsimile. Verbal requests will not be
