The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting proposals to EVALUATE A MICROENTERPRISE DEMONSTRATION GRANT PROGRAM IMPLEMENTED IN PROGRAM YEAR 1996, AUTHORIZED BY SECTION 499 OF THE JOB TRAINING PARTNERSHIP ACT (JTPA) AND FUNDED UNDER THE AUSPICES OF SECTION 324. The objectives of the evaluation are to (1) Identify successful Microenterprise Training Strategies that might be made available to dislocated workers being served under the Title III of JTPA and (2) Support the development of new and innovative approaches to Microenterprise Development that result in customer satisfaction. The period of performance for the prospective award will be eighteen (18) months, from contract execution with a six month extension at the Government's discretion. The requirement is let under 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The SIC Code is 8732 and the Size Standard is %5 Million. Request for proposals will be available on our Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration's Internet Home Page at HTTP://WWW.DOLETA.GOV, approximately 15 days from the date of publication. Requests for proposals in hard copy form will also be available upon written request only, on a first come, first-served basis, until the supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation documents. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be April 5, 1998, at 2:00 P.M. Local time. Requests for proposals must cite RFP-DAA-98-05 and MUST include two self addressed labels. Failure to enclose labels may cause delay in receipt of the solicitation. NO COLLECT CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
