requires two vessels with captain and crew to conduct work off the West
Coast in the summer of 1998, with options to conduct work in the Gulf
of Alaska in the summer of 1999, and additional options to conduct work
in the Aleutian Islands in the summer of 2000. Vessel requirements
include being completely rigged for trawling, having an overall length
of 36.5m (120 ft), having a minimum continuous HP from main engine
1000, having accommodations for 6 Government Scientific personnel and
5 crew including captain, and have fueling capacity for approx. 50 days
of continuous fishing operations. The contract will provide
accommodations for releasing the vessels from contract during the
Bering Sea pollock B season if the beginning date of the B season is
changed to earlier than August 15. All responsible offers will be
