Furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to perform hot bituminous leveling, apply a bituminous chip seal coating, and apply hot spray paint pavement markings on three sections of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. Section one starts approximately 20 miles north of Kosciusko, Mississippi and runs from milepost 186.7 south to milepost 135, crossing through Choctaw, Attalla and Leake counties. This 51.7 mile section will receive hot bituminous leveling, bituminous seal coating, and hot spray paint pavement marking. Section two runs from milepost 135 south to milepost 111 in Leake and Attalla counties, Mississippi. This 24 mile section will rceive hot bituminous leveling (various locations) and hot spray paint pavement markings. Section three starts approximately 20 miles north of Port Gobson, Mississippi and runs from milepost 59 south to milepost 8, crossing through Adams, Jefferson, and Claiborne counties. This 51 mile section will receive hot spray paint pavement markings only. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in late spring (1998); work shall be concluded within 120 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures. Solicitation package will be available o/a February 23, 1998.
