The work required to be performed by the Contractor consists of, but is not limited to, the following principal items: Demolition work in each of 18 existing CASS pits. Demolition work will include removal of pneumatic air lines the existing piping, valving, and all associated equipment. The removal of all existing explosion proof boxes and associated equipment, all electrical raceways and associated equipment, and all electrical cables. The installation of 1 step up transformer, 400 Hertz, 3 phase, 480 V-4160V, delta-delta, and 5 step down transformers, 400 Hertz, 3 phase, 4160V-480V, delta-delta. The installation of a medium voltage (4160V), 400 Hertz, underground distribution system. The installation of a low voltage (480V), 400 Hertz underground feeder system. The installation of a low voltage (120V), 60 Hertz underground feeder system. The connection of 36 government furnished aboveground CASS stations. Connections will be pneumatic, and both 400 Hertz and 60 Hertz electricalpower. Connection of a government furnished control panel. Contractor must have personnel qualified to work with medium voltage power distribution systems. Contractor must also have experience working on airfield or airports and experience working with, either repair of or installation of aircraft support systems that utilize 400 Hz electrical distribution. This solicitiation is unrestricted. The SIC code for this acquistion is 1731 and the size standard is $7 million. Performance period is 270 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. (0028)
