39 -- ONE 10-TON (OET) CRANE FOR U S NAVSUBASE, SAN DIEGO, CA; ONE 25-TON (OET) CRANE FOR U S NAVSUBASE NEW LONDON, CT; AND AN OPTION FOR ONE 30-TON (OET) AT PEARL HARBOR NSY SOL N62472-98-R-1652 DUE 021998 POC Veronica C. Dotson, Contract Specialist, 610-595-0505, Margaret Gettings, Contracting Officer, 610-595-0505 THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO A PREVIOUS NOTICE DATED 011298. PLEASE NOTE CHANGES. The Government intends to issue a competitive Request For Proposal (RFP) for a new 10-Ton Overhead Electric Traveling Crane for use at the Naval Submarine Base in San Diego, CA. The crane shall be used for light production work and water processing. It shall be CMAA #70 Class C, run on 480 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hertz, operate on a crane span of 38 feet 1 7/8 inches, and be pendant controlled. A packaged hoist is not acceptable. The RFP will also include an option for an additional crane that is identical to the above except it has a 25-Ton capacity, operates on a 110 foot crane span, for use in the Controlled Industrial Facility at Naval Submarine Base, New London, CT.; and an Option for one 30-Ton OET Crane for Building 129 at Pearl Harbor NSY, Pearl Harbor, HI. The crane will be used for Special Purpose Service operation. It will be CMAA #70, Class C, run on 220 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hertz, operate on a span of 60 feet and be pendant controlled. This solicitation is Set-Aside for Small Business. This solicitation will be issued on a disk in MICROSOFT OFFICE 97 (WORD AND EXCEL) Format. All firms responding will be required to print and return Section K and various attachments (EXCEL) along with their proposals. The basis for any award resulting from the Request For Proposals shall be based on the best value to the Government; price, technical and other factors considered, which will be evaluated on an equal basis. The Technical and Other Factors to be evaluated consist of: 1)Technical Approach, 2)Management Plan and 3)Corporate Experience. All applicable Buy American and Trade Agreement Act Clauses in FAR and DFAR will be utilized for this procurement and shall have a direct effect on the evaluation outcome of all offers received.
