The work includes the provision of tank repairs and modifications of two existing 80,000 barrel aboveground fuel storage tanks. Tank repairs include the installation of a reinforced concrete ringwall, a new tank cone-down center sump floor with leak detection and underfloor liner, underfloor cathodic protection, shell insert plates, nozzles, miscellaneous shell appurtenances, removal of floating steel roof and provision of a floating pan, a new fixed cone roof, interior piping modifications, exterior piping modifications, lead and non-lead removal, asbestos gasket removal, tank and pipe painting, petroleum contaminated soil and water removal, installation of tank high level and temperature sensors, modification of existing tank level indicating transmitter, installation of fill and issue motorized valve operators, and incidental related work. -- Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 02/28/98, Open bids 03/31/98, complete contract 04/99. -- Estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
