C -- A&E IDIQ CONTRACT SOL F3662998R0004 DUE 030298 POC William Quinn Architect-Engineer services for the 911AW, Coraopolis, PA 15108. Anticipated contract will be an indefinite delivery type where the work will be required on an "as-needed" basis. The period for the contract is for one year with an option to extend for four additional one-year option periods. The contract's maximum monetary limit is $400,000 per year, with a minimum of $5,000 guaranteed only in the basic year, and against which individual orders up to $299,000 may be written during the life of the contract. The Government may issue two contracts as a result of this notice. Work includes site investigation, calculations, cost estimates, design specification and drawings for various architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, sanitary and environmental work, generally for repair, maintenance and alteration (new construction) type projects. The inititial proposed project is intended to be "Demand Side Energy Reduction". A & E firms should not limit their work experience or qualifications to the initial proposed project. Evaluations will be based upon the criteria listed at FAR 36.602-1, DFARS 236.602(a)(6), and AFFARS 5336.602-1. No contract for the construction of a project shall be awarded to the firm that designed the project or its subsidiaries or affiliates, except with the approval of the head of the agency or authorized representative.
