The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires national inspection services of HUD-assisted properties, e.g. Public Housing and Office of Housing Federal Housing Administration Multifamily properties. The physical inspections will be conducted using HUD's proposed new uniform, computerized physical inspection protocol. Physical inspection information will be collected by inspectors using a hand-held computer operating HUD's inspection software which automates HUD's new uniform physical inspection protocol. The inspection results will be used by HUD's Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) for management and staff use. Physical inspection information will be processed by HUD's REAC and analyzed to provide HUD with factual and verifiable scores which will rate and rank the physical condition for each property and property management entity. The solicitation will be available on or about February 23, 1998. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the solicitation by submitting a written request with two-self addressed gummed labels.
