The Air Force intends to issue a full and open competitive request for quotations to remove asbestos contaminated soil at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. This work includes but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, equipment and transportation to containerize, transport, and dispose of the soil in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection regulations. The Government will be responsible for providing an industrial hygenist and will perform all soil sampling and testing. Parties interested in providing a quote must be certified in asbestos removal. A firm fixed price purchase order is planned with an expected period of performance of 30 calendar days after award. The magnitude of this purchase order is between $25,000 and $100,000. All interested parties should respond in writing only within 15 calendar days of this notice. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for 23 February 1998 at 10:00 A.M. All quotes are tentatively due 27 February 1998. Contractor will complete the work in strict accordance with the statement of work which will be made available from Hanscom AFB construction contracting.
