Souto, Contracting Officer, 717-770-6206 The Operating Equipment Division of the Defense Distribution Center has a requirement for the establishment of a contract to provide for the remanufacture of six (6) each Government-owned Caterpillar 830MB towing units. Three (3) units are located at the Defense Distribution Depot Anniston in Anniston, Alabama and three (3) units are located at the Defense Distribution Depot Red River, near Texarkana, Texas. The Contractor will be required to provide for the transportation of the units to be remanufactured to include any necessary escorts or permits. Upon completion of work at Contractor's facility, the Contractor will be required to deliver all units to the Defense Distribution Depot Anniston in Anniston, Alabama. The remanufacture process will cover but will not be limited to the main assemblies and sub-assemblies of the existing 830MB machine. Once the solicitation has been issued, the Government will provide for the onsite inspection of the 830MB units. This acquisition is unrestricted.
