FSC 6140 -- batteries, aviation type including sealed lead acid and nickel cadmium, for use on military aircraft and ground support equipment. Multiple types of batteries required include manufacturer's part numbered items maunfactured by a variety of companies. The government anticipates mulitple awards to manufacturers and or distributors. The Defense Supply Center Richmond will award an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD) FOB CONUS. This contract will incorporate Electronic Data Interface (EDI) and Paperless Order Placement Systems (POPS). The duration of the contract period is one year with four one-year option for a total time of up to and not to exceed five years commencing upon award of the contract. The successful offeror will be required to supply batteries new, wet, charged a 100% serviceable and ready for immediate use. All service/supplies shall be provided on an FOB CONUS destination basis. All products, services, delivery times and administrative requirements will be described and defined in the solicitation. Unrestricted. Sole source. Trade agreements act. First article testing required. QPL applies. Primary quantity is 19. Delivery schedule 1 DARO. Solicitation will be made orally and in writing.
