Dreger, Contracting Officer, (850)234-4863 The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Div, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a sole-source contract to Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems for continuation of the design efforts for the Vestibular Visual Sphere Device. Feedback control systems will be designed for the sphere and chair drive Subsystems. Lockheed Martin has knowledge of the design that would require duplication by any other contractor of which the estimated cost is over 50% of the value of this action. The period of performance is 90 days after award date. Lockheed Martin is the only source that can meet this requirement. Note 22 applies. (0034)
