The Department of the Treasury has a requirement for a financial advisor to provide technical assistance to the Department during the privatization process of the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC). The financial advisor shall be required to (1) provide assistance in the development of the technical basis for evaluating the statutory tests set for in the USEC Privatization Act and the Energy Policy Act of 1992; (2) provide technical assistance to the Treasury on technical aspects of the review of privatization materials, and; (3) provide technical assistance to Treasury during the Treasurys assessment of materials received from potential purchasers. The successful offeror shall have demonstrated experience in privatization, IPOs, M&A, as well as familiarity with the energy and utility market. The anticipated period of performance is for approximately six months. The revised anticipated release date for the RFP is on or about February 6, 1998.
