E-MAIL: Donna Olsen, donna.olsen@dfrc.nasa.gov. NASA/DFRC plans to issue a IFB/Request for Offers for the repair and upgrade of various heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. BASE BID ITEM: This project will provide for the repair and upgrade of various heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems at NASA-Dryden, replace aging air handlers, coils, motor controls, and related ductwork in Building 4800 with new high-efficiency units. Replace the existing HVAC control systems of Building 4800 and six various buildings with direct digital controls (DDC) system connected to the central Facility Management Control System (FMCS). Install EMCS controls in these buildings and provide centralized control of these systems. All DDC, EMCS and FMCS equipment and components shall be made by Landis and Gyr. BID OPTION NO. 1: This project will also replace existing energy consumption meters with new energy consumption meters connected to the central FMCS for all HVAC system in these buildings and 13 substations. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500k -- 1 million and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and $7.0 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about February 17, 1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about March 20, 1998.
