58 -- SUSTAINMENT FOR FULL SCALE ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT (FSED) AND LOW RATE INITIAL PRODUCTION (LRIP) GPS EQUIPMENT POC Joe Giangrosso, 850-882-8601, Ext 5082; Karen Schutt, 850-882-8601, Ext 5076 The Aeronautical System Center, Armament Product Support Office, Range Systems and Threats Contracting Office (ASC/WMRK) plans to contract sole source with Metric Systems Corporation to provide an additional source for the depot and intermediate sustainment of the Full Scale Engineering Development (FSED) and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Global Positioning Systems (GPS) units in the Full Rate Production (FRP) Time-and-Material CLINs. The sustainment effort will be added to the current contract (F08626-93-C-0049). The addition of FSED and LRIP GPS equipment in the FRP sustainment CLINs will fulfill the existing requirement for sustainment of all FSED, LRIP and FRP GPS equipment. This is not a request for proposal. Sole source award is anticipated in March 98.
