bmilkman@jwod.gov. The Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind
or Severely Disabled (Committee) is pursuing partnerships with
commercial manufacturers of glass cleaners (commercial grade) which
meet the following criteria: 1) Possession of a nationally known brand
name and a product that can be demonstrated to have significant appeal
either through evidence of substantial sales or the results of a test
market. 2) Willingness to enter into a multi-year agreement, which
includes technical assistance, to have a nonprofit agency that meets
the criteria of the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Program make and/or package the
product in question thereby creating employment for people who are
blind or severely disabled. 3) Commitment to working independently with
the JWOD team to market the product to Government customers under the
JWOD Program. 4) Willingness to work with the nonprofit agency, NIB or
NISH and the Committee to assure that the product's price to end users
is a fair market price. Manufacturers' submissions must demonstrate
that the specific product meets the various criteria, as well as
indicate what functions the nonprofit agency employees would perform.
