Contractor shall prepare an update to the history of the Savannah District, Army Corps of Engineers, from 1990 through 1994. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to perform extensive detailed research and prepare update to history of the Savannah District in a professional and concise form composed of a narrative presentation, with appropriate illustrations of important activities and events under the programs and missions of the Army Corps of Engineers in the Savannah District. The Savannah District, Army Corps of Engineers History Program Manager will make available to the contractor records covering this period. This includes both civil and military functions, responsibilities, and accomplishments of the District. This manuscript shall succinctly poetry how the history of the region, commencing with its early history and ending in the present, is interwoven with the Corps of Engineers' historical activities. The history shall be in manuscript form of between 150 and 200 typewritten pages, double spaced, and edited properly for submission to a printer for publication. About 10 to 20 percent of the material shall consist of photographs, illustrations, drawings, cartography, and similar work which properly, effectively supports and complements written narrative. The contractor will have 12 months to complete contract. The contractor will provide final product in camera ready format.
