The Government is accepting proposals for a consolidated medical transportation service (ambulance and wheelchair van) as described in the solicitaion for beneficiaries of three (3) VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System facilities as listed herein: (1) University Drive (2) Highland Drive and; (3) Aspinwall Division. These services are requested for a basic year (six months) and four one year pre-priced option periods. Contract period is effective April 1, 1998 and shall continue thru September 30, 1998 (basic year) with option years to follow should the Government exercise this option. All interested parties must submit a written response to Mr. J. E. Regan (04A1-H, Contracting Officer, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA. 15206-1297. No telephone request will be honored. There is a geographical restriction concerning this acquisition of no more than sixty (60) miles from the City of Pittsburgh boundary line. Requests will not be honored from companies beyond this sixty (60) mile limitation. All qualified responsive and responsible offerors may submit a proposal which if timely received shall be considered by the agency. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 4119. Award shall be subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 1998 funds.
