Moulton, Code 533.3G 207-438-2567, FAX 207-438-1251 Item 0001- Rental of Hi Pressure Oil Free Air compressor, Qty 52 weeks estimated. Item 0002 -- Transportation (Delivery & Pickup) 1 JO. The unit is to be an air cooled High Pressure Air Compressor with controller to deliver oil free air at 5000 PSI. The unit is to be electric driven, self contained, skid mounted with all necessary fileters, dryers, and instruments to deliver 4500 psi, oil free air at a dew point of 20 degrees F at 4500 psi (-60 degrees F at atmosphere). The compressor stages shall not be oil lubricated and crankcase oil shall be prevented from entering the compressor stages. Motor is to be a 460 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 cycle, the starter is to be a pre-wired, Y-Delta, closed transistion type. The motor to be suited for outdoor operation in 0 degrees F temperatures without the need for additional shelter. The motor is to be air cooled. The compressor is to compress free air from atmosphere to 5000 psig, deliver 100% oil free air at a rated discharge capacity of 30 CFH @3000 PSIG and 18CHF @5000 PSIG, and must be capable of continuously supplying the specified quantity of air at the normal discharge pressure. The unit is to be equipped with an integral after cooler, to deliver air under 100 degrees F, enclosed in a weather proof enclosure, and be suitable for operation in an outdoor industrial pierside encironment at temperatures of 0 degrees F, without the need for additional shelter. The compressor shall be equipped with safety valves and piping to meet ASME Power Piping safety codes and the unit shall be assembled to meet OSH safety standards, The compressor shall be equipped with a lmoisture separator and air dryer capable of drying 18 CFH to a dew point of 20 degrees F @4500 psi discharge pressure (-60 degrees F at atmosphere). All assemblies shall be connected to enable single point connection by the Shipyard. All spare parts, air and fuel filters and maintenance are to be provided at no additional charge. The vendor shall be responsible for on site start up and all routine maintenance, i.e. change oil, filters, lubrican, coolant, etc except daily check of liquid levels. Equipment shall be delivered in first class operating condition with complete operating instructions. The equipment shall be wired electrically to enable a single point Shipyard connection and equipped with 50 feet of cable to enable this electrical connection. Service shall be provided with 24 hours after notification by the Contracting Officer or his representative. In the event the machine cannot be returned to service within 48 hours of notification, a replacment shall be delivered at no extra charge to the Government. The vendor shall maintain a stringent maintenance program and be responsible for equipment failure not arising out of abuse or neligence by the Government. The delivery points are Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth NH; Subbase New London, Groton CT; Norfolk Naval Shipyard Norfolk VA. The contractor shall provide firm fixed prices regardless of the hours used. The contractor must deliver the compressor within 5 days of notification (verbal/written) of delivery. The Contract Award will be an Indefinate Delivery Indefinate Quantity Type Contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. No telephone requests accepted for a copy of the solicitation. Fax requests only, idenitfy the solicitation number, company name and address and CAGE code. Firms responing are required to indicate whether they are a small abusinees, small disadvantage business, 8(a) certified abusiness or a large business. Proof of citizenship may be required. Entrance of Foreign Nationals requires approval. No person not known to be an American Citizen of Good Standing and repute shall be eligible for access.
