Mastalski, Contracting Officer, 860-524-4872 The Army National Guard in Connecticut requires the supply of plastic blast media for aircraft paint stripping operations. The program required is for the supply of new plastic blast media as required, the pick up of used media from the end user and the recycle of the used media into a viable commercial product. The result is that the end user is no longer a generator of waste and no longer has waste disposal. Also required is the buyout and recycle of 10,000 pounds of existing used media on site. Delivery schedule varies and is estimated at 6,000 pounds per year. The anticipated contract is for a one year base period with two, one year options to extend the period of the contract. This procurement will be a best value source selection utilizing price, past performance, quality, and environmental objectives as evaluation factors. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business participation. A firm fixed price contract is expected.
