The National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Prevention, Early Detection Branch, intends to negotiate with the University of California at Los Angeles for a four-year continuation of the Contract No. N01-CN-25404 (PLCO Laboratory) for the continued performance of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) assays and CA 125II assays within the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial. Assays are performed on participant serum samples. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. Inherent duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays in assay performance make competition unfeasible for the remaining years of assays performed in the screening arm of the PLCO Trial.
