The Naval Air Systems Command will release DRAFT SOLICITATION N00019-98-R-0015 on or about 18 Feb 98 for the proposed Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) of the C-26D Aircraft. This DRAFT SOLICITATION will be available for download on the NAVAIR Home Page. The WWW address or URL is http://www.navair.navy.mil and the DRAFT SOLICITATION will be available under "Business Opportunities" and "NAVAIR Washington D.C. Contracts." Currently there are seven aircraft that will require support. Three aircraft will operated from Atsugi, two from Sigonella, and two from Bahrain. The C-26D is a militarized version of the commercial, FAA type certified Fairchild Metro 23. The mission of this aircraft is to provide time-sensitive movement of personnel and cargo as well as limited medical evacuation. This DRAFT SOLICITATION is issued for the purpose of soliciting your questions, comments, and suggestions regarding this proposed solicitation.
